# Service coverage, consular routes and CEV Offices

A service-area page explains a possible document route for applicants living in that area. It does not mean CEV has a storefront in every listed state or city.

## Start with your state of residence

The location directory helps you understand the usual service route. Current official application instructions and the confirmed order determine the final handoff arrangement.

## Check the type of handoff

Review whether the relevant Office supports mailing or an arranged in-person handoff. Do not assume that all listed locations accept walk-ins.

## Confirm the final route

Before mailing originals or making travel arrangements, confirm availability, receiving details and any appointment requirements for your selected service.

## Official references

Follow the current instructions of the Embassy or Consulate handling your application. These references do not confirm CEV service availability or an order-specific receiving address.
